If you have a new baby, congratulations!  We would like to welcome you to Christ Church.

Baptism, or christening, is partly a welcome into the church family.  That’s why we baptise babies in the main Sunday service.  We do it on the second Sunday of the month during the All Age service.

The first step towards a baptism is to contact the Vicar or the Baptism Co-ordinator, Jenny Rutter (020 8309 1527).  Then, the next step is to come along at 10:30 one Sunday morning.  You need to know you’ll feel happy in that service.  For more details go to Sunday Services

Once you have registered your interest and decided to go ahead, Jenny Rutter will sort out a date with you, usually 3-5 months ahead.

She and her team run a baptism preparation programme.  They’ll visit you twice and talk through what it’s all about.

Having a child baptised is, among many other things, a powerful statement of intent: "we are going to bring this precious child up to know and love Jesus Christ".
